Over Pressure Valve (OPV)
The over pressure valve (OPV) is connected to the medium pressure port of the first stage of argon tanks for security purposes. It avoids the bursting of the medium pressure hose in case of a free flow of the argon regulator, because the pressure can escape through the over pressure valve.
